Work-related highlights

  • For my short-term assignment as a Junior Data Analyst with the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Center, I prepared, cleaned, visualized, mapped, and analyzed quantitative data and qualitative Focus Group Discussion results on heat risk perception in Nepal. The goal was to assess the opportunities and barriers of community-based heat action and draw conclusions for anticipatory action in urban areas.
  • For my 11-month Junior Professional Officer assignment as part of my MAS in Development and Cooperation, I worked with the Swiss Red Cross in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, in and around the Rohingya refugee camp, the world's largest refugee camp. My work focused on solid waste management, circular economy, and climate change mitigation. I conducted a Business Model Analysis to assess the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of the waste management system around the refugee camp and engaged in Awareness Raising.
  • I conducted a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) for different real-world waste management scenarios in an informal settlement in the Gazipur City Corporation, Bangladesh which was graded 5.75/6.
  • At Eawag, I managed a survey with 1200 participants on socio-ecological networks around blue-green infrastructure in Switzerland for an academic publication.
  • I developed a unique dataset on 500+ energy storage bills and laws in the United States and analyzed the data using a mixed-methods approach for my Master's thesis, focusing on how business interests are represented in policy-making through lobbying.
  • As an intern at Green Cross Switzerland, one highlight was drafting a fundraising proposal for the Lotteriefonds in Zürich for 300'000 CHF.
